At Knox Gardens Primary School our Foundation to Year 6 program in Performing Arts is an important aspect of our curriculum. It includes:

• Drama

• Music

• Dance

• Singing

Our weekly lessons encourage thinking, exploration, self-expression, creating, presenting, performing, responding, and audience etiquette.

Students explore the elements of the performing arts through singing, games, improvisation, instrumental work, movement, dance, role-play and ICT activities.

We offer a program where students from Years Three to Six can join the School Choir and music ensembles where they have many opportunities to perform at school and community events. Lunchtime karaoke Club is led by our Year 6 Performing Arts Leaders each week and allows students to sing and practice their on stage performance skills.

Students have opportunities to showcase their talents at our whole school bi-annual concert production in front of a large audience thus developing their confidence and skills in stagecraft.
